Nebraska sweeps #12 Arkansas in doubleheader

By Ryan Mueksch, NewsNetNebraska

Former Nebraska Head Coach Dave Van Horn’s return to Lincoln was spoiled big time as his 12th-ranked Razorbacks were swept by the Huskers Tuesday at Haymarket Park. Nebraska made history in game one, using three pitchers to combine for a no-hitter against Arkansas — the first no-hitter for the Huskers in 20 years and 8th in school history. Kyle Kubat, Tyler Niederklein, and Dylan Vogt combined to get the no-hitter for the Huskers in a 3-0 win.

In game 2 of the doubleheader, Nebraska used a big 8th inning to get a 4-2 win. Brandon Pierce got the start for the Big Red, going 5 innings and only giving up one run.
