ROME, July 10 — Madonna said today that she is “back on track” after a bacterial infection that required hospitalization. This was his first statement after being admitted to the intensive care unit late last month. “When I woke up in the hospital my first thought was my children,” the 64-year-old said in her social media post. “My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets to my tour.” Madonna’s illness forced her to postpone her 84-date “Celebrations” tour, which was set to begin on July 15. “Now my focus is on my health and getting stronger as soon as possible!” said the pop star. Madonna has canceled her summer and fall North American tour, planning to reschedule dates. Plans are for a European tour in October. The singer will be celebrating her four-decade career with a “Celebration” tour scheduled to kick off July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. The current plan is to kick off his European tour in London on October 14th – as planned, rescheduling the previous US shows for subsequent dates. American stops included Detroit, Chicago, Miami and New York, where his famous rise to stardom began.
