The scorching heat burns but the desire to go out and have fun and see new things never diminishes. There are many summer events across the county to the delight of tourists and residents who haven’t left for the holidays: festivals, parties, excursions, live music, theater performances, and much more. If you haven’t already planned, here are some suggestions.

Summer Reviews

The calendars of the summer programs of the various municipalities of the Pontine province are full of events and appointments: music and culture in Sabaudía, entertainment for young and old in Priferno, guided tours and live performances in Sermoneta, sports and live music in Latina, appointments for all tastes in the center of Formia, three months of events scheduled in the Fondi sotto le Stelle review.

Events and guided tours

The great protagonists of the weekend are the excellent local Pontine products that can be tasted at various events throughout the province: in San Felice, a double date with the Watermelon Festival and with the Vini e Sapori al Circeo event, while Borgo del Gusto reaches Paciano. A completely different atmosphere in Lenola which will host over the weekend Celtic Hills Days, a festival dedicated to Scandinavian music, culture and traditions. At Sperlonga a long beach party celebrating Bazzano Beach’s 20th anniversary. For those who have not been there before, guided tours of Ninfa Garden and Landriana Garden are scheduled.

Concerts

Numerous dates with music and theater throughout Boontaine County. Many concerts: Paolo Belli and his band will play in the CONI square in Latina, while Lotus, Elisa’s tribute band, will play in the L ‘Orologio shopping center. There’s plenty of music too in Sabaudia with the latest dates at the Sunset Jazz Festival and with the Sounds of the Lake Beyond the Garden review held in the Belvedere.

Theatrical performances and culture

Theater lovers will be spoiled for choice this weekend: the classic theater festival continues the Formia and the Glades parade, which presents a weekly show by a different town in the Via Francigena, this time leaving the Pontine province to go to Carpineto Romano. A much-loved event kicks off: The Park and the Comedy which brings high-profile performances to Circeo National Park. A new appointment also with the historical literary review Libri sulla Cresta dell’Onda, which this time will feature the famous scholar Mario Tozzi.

Exhibitions

There are also many galleries in the Pontine region: the gallery dedicated to contemporary art can be visited at the Valvisciolo Abbey Museum, which joins the museum’s prestigious collection. In Fondi’s wonderful Giudea area, the Percorsi d’Arte fair continues with many side events. Still in Fondi but in the Baronial Palace, the large collective Metamorphosis can be visited until September, while in Cisterna there is a solo show Le Vie dello Spirito by Barbara Stamegna.

Cinema

There are also many appointments for cinema lovers, while outdoor cinema programming continues on Multiplex Corso di Latina, while the ninth edition of the Cisterna International Film Festival for Short Films takes place in Cisterna. For all those who prefer to enjoy watching a good movie in the magical atmosphere of the cinema, various novelties and films for all tastes are available in the wide programs of the Pontine theatres.
