Italy is increasingly divided: trends in the cities.
Demographic crisis, recession and social hardship: three specters that threaten economic growth and population well-being, but there is no shortage of regions capable of reversing this trend. A journey through 90 quality of life indicators, the landmark survey conducted by Il Sole 24 Ore that measures livability in 107 Italian provinces: there are many success stories, local best practices and the country’s fragility.
The 34th edition of the survey will give ample space to the worsening inequalities in our country: geographic, generational, gender, economic, etc. The results will be presented during the event, which will be held at the same time as the release on newsstands and online. Institutional representatives, economists, sociologists and local administrators will comment on this picture of the country, taken through regional statistics divided into six areas: wealth and consumption, business and labour, demography and society, environment and services, justice and security, and culture and politics. Free time .
An in-depth study will be devoted to the response capacity demonstrated by the regions even after the first investments envisioned by the National Reconstruction Plan, and an assessment of the role of companies in supporting change.
