The evening openings of Villa Butera continue with musical entertainment. Music, Giovanni Moncada, from Bagheria, graduated in piano at the “A. Scontrino” Conservatory of Trapani. After that, he studied the guitar at the same institute. He participated in specialized courses in piano playing conducted by important professors, including: A. Ciccolini, B. Petrushansky, and with M. Duracier in Paris.
For many years he has been invited by important cultural and musical bodies and associations throughout Italy: AGIMUS, Amici della Musica, Tempietto di Roma, SIEM, Rotary International, etc.
He gave many concerts as a soloist and in various bands in Italy and abroad (Spain, France, the United States, Brazil), and received praise from critics and audiences. From 2016 to 2019 he completed the World Tour four times. He recently performed a duet at the prestigious “Bellini Festival in Catania” with the First Flute of Scala in Milan with whom he has been collaborating for several years.
His repertoire is extensive and includes pieces ranging from the Baroque period to the present day.
He will perform the music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Lehár and the soundtrack.
