The United States is apparently trying to pressure Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to step down in exchange for amnesty. The American newspaper wrote: “There is overwhelming evidence that the strongman lost last month’s elections.”Three people familiar with the Biden administration’s decisions said the United States had discussed pardoning Maduro and his top aides who were indicted by the Justice Department “to persuade Maduro to leave the country before his term ends in January.”
