Thunderous and liberating applause from friends, relatives and admirers. Fascinated standing ovation. Alessandro Michele is back. He re-debuted as a superstar here at Paris Fashion Week with Valentino representing him.
In a room that looks like a house that’s been abandoned for years, where every furniture is covered with white curtains and where there are broken mirrors on the floor, the music blaring while you can hear the models applauding from the back stage, it’s a good start. The maniacal track “We Should Rejoice” cuts in and then comes the sound of things breaking. The new novel begins and the plot is already clear at first glance: Valentino is the protagonist, Michel is the author, Con 85 look.
See number one, two, three and four, there are the symbols and then again: fBows, polka dots, ruffles, belts, A-line dresses, lace stockings, puffy blouses, straight pants, scarves, gloves, glasses and jewelry. And bags, heels and cleats. Everything reminds us of the founder and everything brings us back to the new construction. And let’s not start with the comparisons. They are not possible. Nor the truth. Because those are identities. Respect both. MEichel even comes off a little shy in his hat, jeans, and plaid shirt.
There are friends standing: from Harry Styles, Jared Leto and Damiano David Mr. Dr Emma Marrone, Paolo Sorrentino, Elthon John, Alessandro Borghi.
