NASA, using data from the LRO probe, has created a video of what the Apollo 13 astronauts saw as they orbited the moon. All in very high definition.
Data from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) allowed NASA scientists to show what astronauts did.Apollo 13 They were seen flying around the far side of the Moon. This 4K video shows the lunar surface, from sunset to sunrise on Earth, and ends with the moment Apollo 13 re-established radio contact with Mission Control. Also captured is the free-return trajectory around the Moon and a continuous view of our satellite along that path. The video is obviously sped up and not in “real time”..
