Dear Pepe Severnini, We would like to bring to your attention an issue of thousands of Italian citizens currently in the United States or waiting to leave the United States and currently being denied a visa at the Embassy. US Consulate General in Italy, despite having all the documents required to issue a visa. With the help of other comrades, we collected nearly 1300 signatures and reported its event to talented Italian officials, firstly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi de Mayo. We have already sent the official communication and the above signatures to Minister de Mayo with this email. All of the signatories are persons who have been directly affected by this injustice, or who have been waiting for more than a year to be reunited with their loved ones. We hope you can help us raise public awareness of this initiative and help thousands of Italian citizens through press channels accessible to you. Organizers for the collection of signatures on the appeal to Minister de Mayo to lift travel restrictions to the United States are Dr. Valerio Francioni, MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Valeria Barra, Caltech – California Institute of Technology, Dr. Carmen Balcon, University of California, California , Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Dr. Mariarosaria de Rosa, University of Pittsburgh – UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Dr. Fabio Feroldi, University of California, Berkeley
I have read. Link to your letter who. A good problem, no doubt about it. I wonder – beyond your discomfort – how long the United States can withstand this situation.
