When the Rev. Stephen Griffith peers out his office window at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, he sees flashing neon legs on a sign that advertises the strip club across the street.
He says the running joke among Saint Paul's ministers is this: The bar across the street is the Night Before; the church is the morning after.
A state senator wants to restrict where adult businesses can locate to avoid the conflicting mix of sacraments and skin like the one that occurs in Lincoln at the intersection of 11th and M streets, where the Night Before lounge and the church coexist.
