Bio: Elected as president of the United States in 2008, Barack Obama is seeking his second term in 2012.

Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 4, 1961.  From the start, he excelled in school. He graduated from Harvard Law, magna cum laude, in 1991. After law school, he moved to Chicago to work for the law firm Miner, Barnhill & Galland before getting into Illinois Senate politics. He served in the Illinois state Senate for the 13th District from 1997-2004. He then became a U.S. senator representing Illinois from 2005-2008.

He is married to Michelle Obama. They have two daughters.

Bio: Former governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney is the Republican nominee for president.

He was born on March 12, 1947, in Detroit. Romney is known for starting the investment firm Bain Capital. He ran for a Massachusetts Senate seat in 1994, but he was defeated. He became governor of Massachusetts in 2003 and served until 2007. He ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, but lost to John McCain.

He is married to Ann Romney, and they have five sons.
