Zach Revense is a sparkplug.
Not only does he bring his energy and positivity to his work, but also to those around him.
“I definitely try to be happy, if for no other reason than helping others,” Revense said.
A man with many passions, Revense is a dual-major in broadcasting and news-editorial with a minor in environmental science and concentrations in English and history.
He began college in his home state of Utah. In 2008, his family moved to Nebraska. It did not take long for him to make the switch too. In August 2010, Revense started classes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
“I fell in love with Lincoln and the university,” Revense said.
In January 2010, Revense perfected his broadcast voice, as he began interning at KFOR, a local radio station.
“It was kind of my first introspection into the business,” Revense said. “I loved that we had to write newscasts every thirty minutes, and that I was able to anchor the evening hourly news.”
Although he enjoyed the intimacy of radio, TV is now calling him. A class in broadcasting performance shifted his interest to television news, Revense said.
“My dream job is reporter.”
When not pursuing his career goals, Revense stays busy working as a waiter and making a name for himself on nearly every social media platform with a Twitter, blog and photo website.
